Walter Adolph Georg Gropius was a German architect and founder of the BAUHAUS School masters of modernist architecture was born 18 May 1883 in Berlin and died 5 July 1969 (aged 86) in Boston, US His most famous buildings are “Fagus Factory”, “Werkbund Exhibition”, “Bauhaus”, “Gropius House” and more. Influential proponent of modern design and furthered his ideas through Bauhaus School Design. Was taught by his father who was also an architect Gropius career was interrupted by the outbreak of World War 1 in 1914 and served as a sergeant and then a a lieutenant.
