18 August 1949 by Adolf Dassler founded. His brother founded Puma as a rival company. His nickname (Adi) and the first three letters from his last name (Dassler) build the brand name( Adidas). At the World cup 1954 the Germans won the Cup with the shoes from Adolf Dassler so he become popular in the whole world.
Adidas produce sneakers, footballs and sportswear.
