For me, fashion is about change. Stella McCartney is a vegan and there’s no leather or fur or PVC in her clothing and has used recycled bottles in her work.

It took three years to develop our viscose from sustainable forests. My product becomes more expensive to make, but I don’t pass that cost on to my consumer. Stella McCartney's approaches her fashion as a campaign to promote sustainability and animal rights issues. In an interview with Vodianova, Vodianova comments that “I always wanted Stella’s to be the biggest brand in the world because of what it means,” referring to McCartney’s commitment to sustainability.

“What I do in fashion is more than fashion, and I’ve always wanted to engage with like-minded people in the process,” McCartney adds. The new generation takes a mindful approach to consumerism, and her company strong voice and opinions are an attraction to that market who share her values. These are the driving forces that have made her company and brand so successful by cultivating an optimism and feel goo factor for consumers to follow.
